SPARKS, MD. – West Chester University's women's lacrosse program was ranked fourth in Division II by US Lacrosse Magazine it was announced by that organization Friday morning.
West Chester finished 19-1 a year ago and reached the Atlantic Region Final for the sixth consecutive year. The Golden Rams return 15 letterwinners from last year's team that won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) for the third straight season.
The Golden Rams open their 2026 campaign in a rematch of both the Atlantic Region Final and the PSAC Championships against Slippery Rock at home on Feb. 21.
For the past two seasons, the NCAA Division II women's lacrosse season has ended with Tampa defeating Adelphi in the championship game.
The Spartans begin the 2026 campaign at the top of the USA Lacrosse Division II Women's Preseason Top 20, presented by CWENCH Hydration, as they begin their chase for history.
