LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its women's volleyball weekly awards on Monday afternoon and
Abiah Lane (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) earned PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors.
Lane had an excellent week for West Chester, registering double-digit kills in three of four matches, including a career-high 17 at Molloy on Friday night. Lane started her week with a 12-kill effort on 26 swings, along with an ace and a pair of digs in the victory over Chestnut Hill on Wednesday night.
On Friday at Molloy, Lane picked up 17 kills on 44 swings with just five errors, along with two aces, 13 digs, and a hand in seven blocks in the five-set setback. On Saturday in Delaware, Lane registered 14 kills against Goldey Beacom with six digs before posting eight kills and eight digs in the nightcap vs St. Thomas Aquinas.
The senior also hit north of .300 in three-of-four matches this weekend.
West Chester will be back in action on Tuesday at Bowie State beginning at 6 p.m.
