WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University women's rugby team (0-2) continues its early-season homestand on Saturday afternoon as the Golden Rams welcome NIRA Division II foe New Haven (0-3) to South Campus for an important early-season clash. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on the South Campus Rugby pitch.

West Chester renewed its rivalry with American International College (AIC) last Friday afternoon, falling to the Yellow Jackets by a 66-8 final in its home opener.
Camryn Snow scored the lone try of the match for West Chester early in the first half, which made the score 12-5, and
Emma Davies nailed a penalty kick, but West Chester could not overcome AIC, falling by the 66-8 final. Kiyanah Edwards led AIC with three trys while Camryn Henderson had a try and six conversions for a game-high 17 points.

West Chester remains in search of its first win of the young season after falling to perennial powers Davenport and AIC in the first two weeks of the season.
Christelle Adikpeto and
Camryn Snow have the only two trys for West Chester this season, while Davies has one successful conversion and a penalty kick to her name through the first two games.
Home Sweet Home
Saturday's match is the second of two straight at home and the second of three home matches this season for the Golden Rams. West Chester will wrap up its home slate on October 11 vs Emory & Henry on what will also be Senior Day for the Purple and Gold.
Series History
West Chester is 3-0 against New Haven since September 2022, which includes a 66-0 victory at New Haven, an 87-0 win in West Chester in 2023, and a narrow 38-36 win at New Haven last September. Last year, West Chester found itself down early but rattled off 19 unanswered points midway through the second half with trys from
Taylor Baldwin,
Bridget Kowalski, and Kirstin Swaveley to erase a 26-19 deficit and grab a 38-26 lead with just under 20 minutes to play. New Haven scored two more trys in the final minutes of the match, but the Chargers were unable to make either conversion, which allowed West Chester to leave the Constitution State with a narrow two-point victory.
Scouting New Haven
New Haven enters play on Saturday in search of its first win of the season, as well, after falling to 0-3 on the year with a 55-34 loss to Frostburg State on Sunday morning. This setback comes on the heels of a 79-33 loss to Bowdoin earlier in September and a 78-19 loss to Davenport to open the season on August 31.
