Series History
West Chester is 9-2 against Chestnut Hill since September 2009 and is a perfect 5-0 against the Griffins in Hollinger Field House. West Chester enters play on Wednesday looking to avenge a loss at Chestnut Hill a year ago, and the familiar confines of Hollinger seem to be as good a place as any to do just that. West Chester has only dropped one set to Chestnut Hill at home since 2009, with that lone blemish coming in a 3-1 win in September 2011.
Know The Foe
West Chester has faced Chestnut Hill at least once in each of the last four seasons, but has an added level of familiarity with the Griffins as
Nicole Dimiris transferred from WCU to Chestnut Hill for her final collegiate season.
Scouting Chestnut Hill
Chestnut Hill enters play following a four-set victory over Kutztown on Friday in its season opener. On the road at Kutztown, Chestnut Hill won the first set 25-23 before dropping the second 32-30, but bounced back to take the next two 25-23, 25-20 to win the match by a 3-1 final.
Kate Hanley led Chestnut Hill with a career-high 19 kills along with four aces, while Kass Kimmel had an excellent collegiate debut, notching 16 kills on a .293 hitting performance along with 12 digs for the first double-double of her collegiate career. Sofia Rodriguez chipped in a double-double of her own with 50 assists and 16 digs, while Alex Crespin led all players in digs with 29 to go along with seven assists in the victory.
