Series History
West Chester is 51-39 all-time against Kutztown after winning the first meeting between the two rivals a year ago and dropping the last two, with the final clash coming in the PSAC Quarterfinals against the eventual PSAC Champion Golden Bears. West Chester is 5-5 against Kutztown in its last 10 matchups and has not lost to the Golden Bears in West Chester since February 2022, with wins in each of the last four meetings in Hollinger. In these four meetings, West Chester has won by double digits in three of four, with the lone narrow victory coming in a 46-39 victory over the Golden Bears in Hollinger in February 2024.
Kutztown is plenty familiar with Hollinger this season, as the Golden Bears began their season in Hollinger alongside West Chester in the Carol Eckman Memorial Classic. Similarly to West Chester, Kutztown went 1-1 on the opening weekend, falling to Glenville State by a 64-60 final in the first game before downing Salem on Saturday by a 71-35 final, which sparked a modest two-game winning streak as well as a stretch that saw Malouf's charges win three of four heading into an early December clash with Indiana (Pa.).
