DAY 3 RESULTS
YORK, PA – A new meet record, and what would have been a meet record if not for a second-place showing, highlighted the third day as the Golden Rams have all but wrapped up the team title at the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Swimming Championships inside the York YMCA Friday evening.
West Chester has posted 768 points and hold a 363-point advantage over second place Gannon heading into Saturday's final day of the PSAC Championships. Gannon has 405 points while Bloomsburg is in third with 343 points and Clarion rounds out the top four with 321.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team consisting of
Bartosz Brzozowski (Warsaw, Poland),
Till Schroeder (Wiesbaden, Germany),
Christian Henry (York, Pa./Central York) and
Chadd Corson (Wernersville, Pa./Wilson) were runners-up with a time of 1 minute, 29.67 seconds.
Marti Rosell Diez (L'Albiol, Spain) then picked up his second conference crown by winning the 500 free in a time of 4:23.91, which established a new meet record. He was the first of five Golden Rams to touch the wall one-right-after-the-other.
Paul Demesy (Saint Ulrich, France), a two-time winner in this event in his college career, finished runner-up in 4:24.14, which also would have been a meet record if not for Diez.
Danny Dunigan (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) placed third in 4:27.77 while
Szymon Kapala (Olsztyn, Poland) was fourth with a time of 4:36.13, and
Jacob Texter (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) was fifth in 4:38.61.
Granth Schwalm (Dover, PA Northeastern) rounded out West Chester's six swimmers in the finals of the 500 free with a time of 4:41.46 that placed him eighth.
Brzozowski continued his fast swims by winning the 100 backstroke in 48.81 seconds.
Augustus Miller (Pittsburgh, PA North Allegheny) was runner-up in 49.24. Corson placed fifth in 50.68 while
Evan Carl (Temple, Pa./Oley Valley) was 18th and Schroeder 28th.
Kai Hang (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) finished second in the 100 breaststroke. He touched the wall in 55.56 seconds.
Nickolas Snyder (York, Pa./Central York) placed sixth in 56.60 just ahead of Henry who touched in 56.66.
Noah Shand (Brighton, Mich./Brighton) was 12th.
Kolos Nagy (Szazhalombatta, Hungary) won his 10th PSAC individual title by closing Friday's evening session with a victory in the 200 butterfly. He touched in a time of 1:48.89.
Nathan Noel (Destrehan, La./Destrehan) was not far behind in second with a 1:49.50. Senior
Ryan Lee (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) finished eighth in the 'A' Final with a time of 1:54.67.
The final day of competition at the 2026 PSAC Championships gets under way with prelims at 10 a.m. in the 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke and finally the 1650 free before the finals in the evening at 5 p.m. in those events plus the 400 free relay.
