Men's Swimming team crowds onto championship podium with 2026 PSAC Champion sign

West Chester Men’s Swimming Wins Conference Title Again

2026 PSAC SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS COMPLETE RESULTS


YORK, PA – West Chester University took first place in all four individual events on Saturday night to clinch the school's fourth consecutive team title and 26th straight in a championship meet in which the Golden Rams competed inside the York YMCA Graham Pool.
 
West Chester won its 38th team title, the most of any school in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) heading up the team leaderboard from wire to wire over the four-day event.
 
Paul Demesy (Saint Ulrich, France) picked up his 10th individual conference crown by taking first place in the 1650-yard freestyle for the fourth straight year. He touched the wall in 15 minutes, 19.54 seconds to lead three other Golden Rams to the finish consecutively. Szymon Kapala (Olsztyn, Poland) placed second in 15:37.56 while Danny Dunigan (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) was right behind in third (15:37.64). Marti Rosell Diez (L'Albiol, Spain) placed fourth in 15:54.00. West Chester put six swimmers in the finals with Granth Schwalm (Dover, PA Northeastern) placing sixth in 16:09.92 and Jacob Texter (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) placing eighth in 16:23.24.
 
Kolos Nagy (Szazhalombatta, Hungary) earned his fourth title of the meet and 11th of his illustrious college career by winning the 200 backstroke in 1:46.74. That time established a new meet record – the second event of the championship meet in which Nagy surpassed a meet mark. The Golden Rams put four swimmers in that final as well with Nathan Noel (Destrehan, La./Destrehan) finishing third in 1:49.57 and Bartosz Brzozowski (Warsaw, Poland) placing fourth in 1:49.76. Chadd Corson (Wernersville, Pa./Wilson) was eighth in 1:52.70. Augustus Miller (Pittsburgh, PA North Allegheny) won the 'B' Final to place ninth overall.
 
Till Schroeder (Wiesbaden, Germany) picked up his second individual crown of the conference meet with a first-place finish in the 100 freestyle. He touched the wall in 45.36 seconds. Noah Shand (Brighton, Mich./Brighton) won the 'B' Final to finish ninth, and Evan Carl (Temple, PA Oley Valley) placed fifth in the 'B' Final to finish 13th overall.
 
Junior Ryan Lee (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) won the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:01.85 to claim his first individual championship at the conference meet. Teammate Kai Hang (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) was right behind him in second touching the wall in 2:01.90. Local products,Nickolas Snyder (York, Pa./Central York) and Christian Henry (York, Pa./Central York) placed sixth and 10th respectively. Snyder posted a time of 2:03.93 while Henry put up a time of 2:04.20.
 
The Golden Rams' 400 free relay closed out the 2026 PSAC Swimming Championships with a time of 3:00.61 that was a runner-up performance for the foursome of Diez, Texter, Shand and Nagy.
 
Nagy was named the Swimmer of the Meet after the championships concluded. He won four individual titles at the PSAC Championships this week.
 
West Chester will now wait for the announcement of the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships field to see whose swim seasons continue.
