LEXINGTON, N.C.- The West Chester University women's golf team is set to begin its spring 2026 campaign on Monday morning at the Sapona Intercollegiate in Lexington, North Carolina. The two-day event will be held at Sapona Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

Welcome Back
West Chester returns to the course to begin its spring season after an outstanding fall, which saw the team win each of its first three Tournaments of the year and four of six (five-team entries) in the fall campaign. The lone Tournament West Chester entered as a team was the Davenport Panther Invitational in Augusta, Michigan, where the team finished sixth with a two-day score of 325 (314, 311) led by a 10
th-place finish by
Hanna Lignell (Gothenburg, Sweden/Kitas Gymnasium), who fired a second-round 73 to climb from 30
th to 10
th in the final round.
The Field
West Chester is one of nine teams in the field as Montana State-Billings, which is serving as the host this week, enters a pair of teams alongside North Greenville, Barton, Davis & Elkins, Edward Waters, Cedarville, and Southern Wesleyan.

The Weather Report
After a high in the mid-70s today, temperatures are expected to crash on Monday and Tuesday, with highs of 45 on Monday and 57 on Tuesday under cloudy skies, before rebounding later in the week as the Tournament concludes.
The Slate
West Chester will be back in action in South Carolina on March 9-10 at the Pawley's Island Invitational at Litchfield Country Club before heading back to North Carolina on March 23 and 24 for the Patsy Rendleman Invitational at the Country Club of Salisbury. West Chester will return home on April 6-7 for the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational at Penn Oaks ahead of the PSAC Championships at Berkleigh Golf Club beginning on April 22.
