BERLIN, Md.- The West Chester University men's golf team was back in action on Saturday afternoon for the final round of the Battle at Rum Pointe at Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links in Berlin, Maryland. West Chester fired a 304 in the second round to finish seventh on the team leaderboard with a 36-hole score of 602 (298, 304).
Iona captured the team title with a 36-hole score of 578 (287, 291; 578), while Rasmus Ditzinger of Fairfield claimed the individual crown with a two-day score of -9 (68, 67; 135).
Competing as an individual,
Evan Jozwiak (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) fired an even-par 72 in the second round to climb into a tie for 15
th (76, 72; 148/+4) on the individual leaderboard.
William Hilton (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) was the top finisher for the West Chester squad on the individual leaderboard, finishing in a tie for 21
st with a two-day score of five-over (74, 75; 149).
Paul-Arthur Roth (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) carded his second eagle of the Tournament, this time on the par-five third before adding his lone birdie of the day on the-par-four fourth.
