WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Division II Baseball Committee released its first Atlantic Regional rankings of the season on Wednesday afternoon, and No. 17/25 West Chester (30-8) appeared in the first Regional Rankings of the year after picking up its 30
th win of the season on Tuesday.
Today's rankings are alphabetical, listing the eight teams under consideration for numerical ranking when those begin next week. Two sets of numerical rankings will be released on April 29 and May 6 ahead of the Division II Baseball Selection Show on Sunday, May 10.
West Chester is one of seven teams from the PSAC to appear in the initial rankings as the Golden Rams are joined by Bloomsburg, East Stroudsburg, Frostburg State (the lone non-PSAC team listed), Indiana (Pa.), Seton Hill, and Shippensburg.
Riding a six-game winning streak, including an 11-2 win over Jefferson at Citizens Bank Park in the Bill Giles Invitational Championship game on Tuesday, West Chester will face Bloomsburg in a four-game series this weekend, beginning on Thursday afternoon in West Chester, with first pitch set for 1 p.m. A full preview of the series with the Huskies is available
