10 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW …
- West Chester has reached the conference semifinals every year since the field expanded to four teams in 2004 (22 straight years – minus 2020 when no tournament was held due to COVID-19 pandemic). The last time West Chester did NOT play on the final weekend of the PSAC season was 2000 when Bloomsburg beat East Stroudsburg for the conference title. That makes it 25 straight years that West Chester has reached the final weekend of the conference slate (2001-2026).
- West Chester is 17-4 all-time in the PSAC Semifinals, including a 14-6 win over Slippery Rock in 2024. The Golden Rams bring a 7-game winning streak in the semifinal round into Friday's contest. WCU last dropped a conference semifinal in 2017 to Mercyhurst (13-12, 2OT). The last time the Golden Rams lost a conference semifinal to a team that is still in the PSAC was in 2014 (10-5 loss to Lock Haven).
- WCU is seeking its conference-best 28th PSAC Championship having won the title in 1983-87; 1992-99; 2001-02;Â 2004-08; 2013; 2018-19; 2021; 2023-25.
- Now in her 28th season, the IWLCA Hall of Fame head coach Virginia "Ginny" Martino is seeking her 17th conference title. She carries an overall career record of 439-87-0 (.835) into this weekend. Martino's .835 career winning percentage is the third-best in Division II history and eighth-best among women's lacrosse coaches at any level. Her 439 career victories ranks eighth at all levels of lacrosse coaching as well.
- West Chester landed seven players on the PSAC Eastern Division all-conference squad: [FIRST TEAMERS] Madeline Edinger, Lila McMahon-Skates and Sydney Wasdick; [SECOND TEAMERS] Kendall Fortune, Marissa Herring, Olivia Reinhart and Caitlin Trickett. Herring was named the PSAC East Freshman of the Year.

PLAYER NOTES … RECORD BOOK WATCH
- Junior attacker, Kendall Fortune, brings a 28-game goal-scoring streak into Friday's semifinal, along with a 42-game point streak. Senior Lila McMahon-Skates brings a 33-game point streak into the weekend as well. Wasdick has scored a goal in every game this year and has a 19-game goal scoring streak intact heading into the weekend.
- Sydney Wasdick enters the weekend fourth on the school's all-time draw controls list with 251. She is one of only four Golden Rams to record more than 200 in a career. Madeline Edinger is ninth on the list (156).
- Madeline Edinger played in her 82nd career game in the quarterfinals on Tuesday setting the school record for games played by a position player in a career.
- Lila McMahon-Skates has 97 points on the season, She is three shy of becoming the 11th player in school history to hit triple digits in points in a single season.

ATLANTIC REGION RANKINGS
- West Chester was ranked third in the Atlantic Region in the latest NCAA regional poll that helps decide the field for the Division II Women's Lacrosse Championships. The Golden Rams will find out Sunday evening if they qualified for the NCAA Tournament. A PSAC Tournament Championship this weekend would give them an automatic bid to the NCAAs. Anything less would mean they have to receive an at-large bid from the Atlantic Region committee. Also up in the air is the possibility of hosting. The top two seeds in the region will host as the six teams get split into two, three-team "pods" with the two winners meeting one week later in the Atlantic Region Final.
