WEST CHESTER, Pa.- William Hilton (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine Richland) shot the second-best round of any player in the field on Tuesday, a two-over 72, which allowed the freshman standout to climb from a tie for third after the first round to win the individual title with a two-day score of +4 (72, 72; 144) and help lead West Chester to a fourth-place team finish at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational at Penn Oaks in West Chester. West Chester fired a 305 on day two after shooting a 306 to open the Tournament and finished fourth on the team leaderboard with a 36-hole score of 611, while the second team finished in a tie for sixth with a two-day score of 625 (307, 318).
Division I Lafayette claimed the team title, led by Viktor Kofod-Olsen, who finished third with a two-day score of +6 (76, 72; 146) to help lead the Leopards to a team title with a two-day score of 601 (295, 306).
Hilton carded birdies on the par-three sixth, par-four ninth, and par-four 10
th and registered a par on 12 of the other 18 holes on Tuesday afternoon as he captured the Tournament crown.
