Regional Rankings
WEST CHESTER, Pa.- After wrapping up a share of its first PSAC East Regular season title since 2018, the West Chester baseball team (37-9) remained atop the final Division II Atlantic Regional rankings heading into the PSAC Baseball Tournament at Slippery Rock this week.
The final rankings remain largely unchanged from the first numerical rankings last week, as West Chester remains at the top, followed by Seton Hill (41-8), East Stroudsburg (35-13), Millersville (32-16), and Bloomsburg (24-19) in fifth. Frostburg State is the first and only non-PSAC team ranked as the Bobcats from the Mountain East Conference (34-16) are sixth, followed by Shippensburg (29-19), and Shepherd (27-22).
West Chester picked up another series victory last weekend to finish the regular season, taking three of four from Millersville to win the series from the Marauders and finish in a tie for the PSAC East Regular Season crown with East Stroudsburg, marking the first time since 2018 that West Chester has won at least a share of the regular season title. West Chester claimed the No. 1 seed in the PSAC East by virtue of a 3-1 series victory over East Stroudsburg earlier this season that served as the tiebreaker the Golden Rams needed.
The full 56-team field will be announced on Sunday, May 10, on NCAA.com in a livestream beginning at 10 p.m. Regional play, which will be two three-team pods hosted by the top two seeds in the Atlantic Region, will begin on Thursday, May 14.
