WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University women's volleyball team (7-7, 1-1) is set to return to action this weekend for a pair of matches away from home as the Golden Rams visit East Stroudsburg (8-5, 1-0) and Lackawanna (0-7) on Friday and Saturday, respectively. First serve at ESU on Friday night is set for 6 p.m., while Saturday's first serve is set for 1 p.m.

Five Things to Know
- Led by Gwen Atkins (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) and her 14 kills and five aces, the West Chester University volleyball team overcame a slow start to earn a 3-1 victory over Monroe in Hollinger Field House on Tuesday night. West Chester dropped the first set to Monroe, 25-19, but won the next three (25-17, 25-23, 25-11) to return to 7-7 on the year before jumping back into PSAC East play this weekend.
- Atkins leads West Chester in kills with 140 and is second in aces with 22, trailing only Brooke Forester (Langhorne, Pa./Conwell-Egan), who has 24 aces. Hailey Atkins (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) is first in digs with 164, while Ada Koksal (Istanbul, Turkey/Terakki) is first in assists with 290. Julia Kwitchoff (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield), who had six blocks in the win on Tuesday, is first on the team in blocks with 50.
- East Stroudsburg enters the weekend at 8-5 overall and 1-0 in league action on a four-game winning streak, including a 3-0 victory over Kutztown inside Koehler Field House last Friday night. Over this four-game winning streak, which began with 3-1 wins over West Virginia Wesleyan and Charleston, ESU has dropped just two sets. Jadyn Orava is first on the team in kills with 185 and is second in aces with 17, trailing Allison Flynn, who leads the team in digs (190) and aces (21). Georgia Stevens leads the squad in assists with 270, while Harry Berry is first in blocks with 46.
- Lackawanna enters the weekend in search of its first win of the season as the Falcons are 0-7 overall and 0-3 against PSAC competition, including 3-0 losses to ESU and Lock Haven and a 3-1 loss to Kutztown on Tuesday night. Sophia Bedics leads the Falcons in kills with 41, while Jana Hofmann, first on the team in digs (48) and aces (9), ranks second in kills with 36. Kady Schreiner leads the team with 44 assists, while Ciona Braziel leads in blocks with seven.
- West Chester enters the weekend 48-40 against East Stroudsburg after dropping both ends of the season series last fall, including a 3-0 loss at ESU and a 3-2 loss in West Chester on Senior Day last November. West Chester has not defeated ESU since a 3-2 win in West Chester in October 2022 and has not won at ESU since November 2017. West Chester will face Lackawanna for the first time in program history on Saturday in Scranton, as the Falcons will be the Golden Rams' second first-time foe in the last three matches after facing and defeating Monroe for the first time on Tuesday night.

West Chester will start October at home against Lackawanna and Kutztown on October 2 and 3 before a Tuesday night trip to Shepherd on October 6. The Golden Rams return home from this trip to host Lackawanna and East Stroudsburg on October 10 and 16, respectively.
