WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester’s women’s swimming team sank visiting Shippensburg, 168-92, in its season-opening meet at Graham Natatorium Saturday afternoon winning 13 events in the dual competition.
Jackie Borkowski and Erin Fischer were triple event individual winners as Borkowksi won the 50- and 100-yard backstroke events as well as the 50 freestyle, and Fischer won both the 50 and 100 butterfly races as well as the 200 individual medley. Borkowski’s time of 24.2 seconds in the 50 free, and Erin's winning time of 58.02 in the butterfly were both exceptional early-season times.
