Box Score

WEST CHESTER, Pa.
- Sara Glick scored three trys and Cheryl Johnson anded two as West Chester University stormed past Princeton University, 53-0, on a windy, cold and wet afternoon in an Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU) match on South Campus.

West Chester (3-2, 1-1 EPRU) was no match for the undermanned Princeton Tigers (1-3, 0-2). The win evened the Golden Rams record in EPRU play as they prepare for the postseason tournament in November.

Glick scored twice in the first half while Anna McGlade converted two of West Chester's four trys before the break to stake the Rams to a 24-0 halftime lead. Sasha Stauffer scored eight minutes into the contest and McGlade converted her first of two trys to put West Chester on top, 7-0.

Glick then went in seven minutes later to push the lead to 12-0. She then scored in the 28th minute and McGlade converted her second for a 19-0 advantage. Johnson scored the first of her two trys in the 39th minute to put the score at 24-0.

Michelle Gerlach scored in the 46th minute, and Johnson ran one in during the 60th minute. Both trys went unconverted, and West Chester ran out to a 34-0 lead.

Mary Bocchino, Glick and Megan Lamm each scored trys within seven minutes of one another to put the game far out of reach. Lamm finished with a try and two conversions for nine points on the afternoon.

West Chester hosts Shippensburg next Saturday afternoon in the final regular-season EPRU match of the fall. That game will determine the top seed in the EPRU Tournament Nov. 7-8.
