Women's Rugby tops Princeton in League Match 15-8

PRINCETON, NJ
– Brittney Miller scored two trys on Princeton University at the West Windsor Fields, in the second EPRU League match, to give West Chester University a 15-8 win on this sunny Saturday.

Miller scored the first try of the game five minutes in off a break away; Megan Lamm converted the try putting them up 7-0. With only six minutes left in the half Lamm took a Penalty Kick making the score 10-0.

With two minutes left in the half Kate Rada gave an off loaded to Miller who broke through Princeton’s defense and score her second try of the match. Princeton then put points on the board with a penalty kick in the last play of the half making the score 15-3.

The Golden Rams played great defense in the second half keeping Princeton out of the try zone at very important times. Princeton fought down the field but was unable to convert a try with West Chester holding their own and not letting up.

Princeton’s Angela Wue converted their only try of the day in the last play of the game with a final score of 15-8 West Chester.

Women’s Rugby will be back in action Saturday October 30th at the South Campus Rugby Pitch 11 a.m. against University of Delaware for their third league match.
