Baer's Walk-Off Single Lifts Baseball To 5-4 Win

- Matt Baer hit a single up the middle in the bottom of the ninth, plating Joe Wendle with the game-winning run to lead West Chester to a 5-4 victory over Felician College Saturday afternoon at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach.

Wendle led off the ninth with a walk and then moved up to second on a balk call. Baer then singled up the middle, scoring Wendle from second as West Chester improved to 5-2 on the year. 

Carmen Daddario got the win on the mound, pitching the eighth and ninth innings without allowing a run. Dave Stieg started and lasted five innings, yielding five hits and two runs. He walked three and struck out four. Chris Ott entered and pitched the sixth and seventh, giving up two runs and striking out two. 

Charlie Kelly was 2-for-4 with two doubles. Wendle was 2-for-3 with a double, his second home run of the season, and two RBI. 

West Chester is off until Sunday when the Golden Rams face Post University and Philadelphia University.
