WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Brittney Miller scored three trys and Megan Lamm posted 15 points to lead West Chester University’s women’s rugby squad to a 62-14 victory over Doylestown club team at the rugby pitch Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (7-5) shut out Doylestown in the second half to pull away in the end.
Mary Bocchino registered a pair of trys in the second half, and Sara Waltman scored a try and posted a conversion of another try to finish with seven points.
Miller scored on runs of 50 meters and 30 meters in the first half. Sara Glick pushed over a try from a five-meter scrum to open the scoring while Anna McGlade scored on a 12 meter run to make it 14-0.
Kim Murphy scored both of Doylestown’s trys in the first half.
West Chester closes out its 2009-10 campaign with a match against York College on April 17. It will be Senior Day for the Golden Rams.
