WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Kevin McCann scored two goals and Roberto Silva contributed a goal and an assist as host West Chester downed visiting Felician, 5-1, on a rainy, cold Thursday evening inside John A. Farrell Stadium.
West Chester (5-8-3) scored four unanswered goals in the second half to pull away from Felician (9-9-0).
Jeff Signora and Conor Malarney scored seven minutes apart early in the second half to break a 1-1 halftime tie and stake the Golden Rams to a 3-1 lead. It was Signora's second goal of the season in just his second appearance of the year. Roberto Silva scored his second goal of the fall in the 73rd minute, and McCann notched his second tally of the day and fourth of the season in the 83rd minute.
McCann opened the scoring in the 18th minute off an assist from Tommy Ryan. However, Felician's Daniel Camargo tied things up in the 29th minute.
West Chester outshot Felician by a 22-12 advantage, but missed a pair of penalty kicks in the process. Felician's Anthony Tsouhnikas stopped PK's from Neil Gallagher and Tyler Eisenhauer in the second half. Tsouhnikas made six saves in all on the evening.
West Chester's Garrett Bleiler made four saves in 65 minutes, before giving way to Kevin Marron, who did not have to make a save in the final 25 minutes.
West Chester closes out its 2011 campaign at home on Saturday afternoon against PSAC-leading Millersville on South Campus at 2:30 p.m.
