Alicea and Slack Earn D2CCA Second Team All-Region Honors

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) announced its men's soccer All-Region teams on Tuesday evening. West Chester saw two players honored as Ian Alicea (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) and Owen Slack (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) were both recognized by the Association as Second Team All-Region selections after strong seasons in 2025.

Alicea and Slack are two of 17 players from the PSAC to be honored and are two of eight from the PSAC East, as Shepherd and Bloomsburg had one honoree each, while East Stroudsburg and Millersville both had two.

Both All-PSAC selections, Alicea and Slack, were first-team All-League honorees earlier in November.

Slack was one of two captains for the Golden Rams this season and turned in an incredible senior campaign, scoring three goals and adding seven assists in the regular season before scoring his first game-winning goal of the year via a penalty kick in the PSAC Quarterfinals and adding an assist in the PSAC Semifinals. Slack led the team in assists and played a significant role defensively, helping guide the Golden Rams back to the PSAC Tournament for the ninth year in a row and PSAC Championship weekend for the third year in a row.

Alicea, who was the other captain for West Chester in 2025, turned in an excellent junior season with three goals for six points, while continuing to anchor the Golden Ram backline. A force defensively and a strong voice in the back, Alicea helped direct traffic throughout the season and helped limit opponents to 1.22 goals per game and 12.5 shots per game, with less than half of those shots finding their way on target during the regular season.
