SPARKILL, N.Y. – West Chester University's women's tennis squad swept the doubles competition and then took all six singles matches in straight sets en route to a 9-0 non-league victory over host St. Thomas Aquinas Wednesday afternoon.

West Chester (2-4) snapped a four-match losing streak with the win while St. Thomas Aquinas fell to 4-6 overall.

Maddy Shaak was a double winner on the day, teaming with Nicole Fahringer for an 8-3 win at first doubles, before polishing off her opponent at first singles, 6-0, 6-0. Fahringer took care of her opponent at second singles, 6-1, 6-4. Her win clinched the victory for the Golden Rams as it was win No. 5 in the match.

Jami Dumler was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at third singles while Cassidy Branigan was a 6-3, 6-2 winner at fourth singles. Catherine Bond and Nicole Nardi each won their matches at fifth and sixth singles in 8-5 and 8-2, respectively. Their matches were played in tie-breaker format because the match was already decided.

Abriana Nolan and Steph Cifarelli teamed up at second doubles for an 8-4 win while Haley Wissinger and Amalia Hartman were 8-4 winners.
