2013 Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Soccer All-America

Dan Venuto (Bensalem, Pa. / Archbishop Ryan) and
Conor Malarney (West Chester, Pa. / Rustin) were named as 2013 Daktronics NCAA Division II men's soccer All-America honorable mention, announced by that organization.
Venuto and Malarney were both selected to the first team Daktronics All-Atlantic Region in 2013, as well as being first team All-PSAC choices.
Conor Malarney who scored 11 goals to tie for the team lead, was also a first team NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Men's All-Atlantic Region pick. He topped the Golden Rams with 24 points, and finished in a tie for the league lead in PSAC goals with nine conference markers and led the league with five game-winning goals.
The West Chester native closed out his career tied for second place in school history with John Hand (70-72) with 24 career goals. He is fourth all-time at West Chester with 58 career points.
Dan Venuto was a second team NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Men's All-Atlantic Region selection. He earned his first all-conference accolades and was named defensive athlete of the year in the PSAC.
The anchor of the West Chester defense that allowed only five league goals in 2013, the 6-2 junior is excellent in the air and is a physical defender. In addition to Venuto's top-notch defense this year, he scored the game-winning goal against Lock Haven in mid-September and assisted a goal against Philadelphia University.
West Chester ended the season with a 13-4-2 record; its most victories since 2006.
Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences sponsoring men's soccer selected the Daktronics All-America teams. The process begins at the regional level with all first team All-Region picks advancing to the national ballot. This is the eighth year Daktronics has sponsored the NCAA Division II men's soccer All-America and All-Region teams. A total of 60 student-athletes filled out the three teams and honorable mention selections.
