WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Visiting Holy Family etched a 6-3 non-league women's tennis victory out of its trip to West Chester University Thursday afternoon.
West Chester (13-8) dropped its final tune-up for the PSAC Quarterfinals, which get under way on Tuesday, while Holy Family (10-9) ended its 2012-13 campaign on a winning note.
Brittany Counts and Ali Fetter teamed up for a thrilling 9-7 win at first doubles. However, the Tigers captured second and third doubles to take a 2-1 lead into singles play.
Jami Dumler and Nicole Nardi picked up singles wins at No. 4 and No. 6, respectively. However, that was all the Golden Rams could muster in terms of wins.
West Chester will host a PSAC Tournament quarterfinal round match on Tuesday on South Campus.
