WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Host West Chester got on the board first early in the opening half, but visiting Navy came from behind to defeat the Golden Rams, 24-17, Saturday morning on the South Campus Rugby Pitch.
West Chester (1-1) got a try from Arielle Gantt in the ninth minute,. which went unconverted, to put the host Rams up 5-0. West Chester controlled much of the action throughout the first 20 minutes of the match. However, the Midshipmen wore down the Rams and battled back for the win.
Walston scored a try and added the conversion while Jeannie Connolly scored West Chester's other try.
The Golden Rams will return home on Oct. 12 to face Maryland on Homecoming Weekend on the South Campus Rugby Pitch.
