Box Score EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Annalee Halbert (Port Murray, N.J./West Morris Central) registered her fifth double-double of the season, lifting the Golden Rams to a sweep of home town East Stroudsburg Warriors(3-0).
West Chester (14-10, 5-9 PSAC), after sweeping Holy Family (3-0) at home two days ago, kept the rhythm flowing on the road against the Warriors (6-7, 2-13 PSAC) by the final scores of 28-26, 25-19, and 25-17.
The Golden Rams were pushed to the brink in the first set, but held on and kept increasing their margin over the Warriors as the night went on.
Halbert put up 27 assists, 14 digs, and led the team with three service aces. Lyndsey Iacobelli (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) contributed with 23 digs to lead the Golden Rams.
Julia O' Brien (New Holland, Pa. / Garden Spot) led the team with 13 kills, while adding two aces and a block in the win. Marina Sharkey (Newtown Square, Pa./Archbishop John Carroll) was second in kills with nine.
East Stroudsburg's Annabelle Charlton also registered a double-double with 25 assists and 16 digs.
Women's Volleyball will now head to play Kutztown this Saturday (10/18) at 3 p.m. in the second game of their 8-game road trip.
