Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – West Chester had a couple early leads in the last two sets, but could not hang on as Lock Haven battled back to take all three sets Friday night inside Thomas Fieldhouse.
The Golden Rams (19-7, 7-7 PSAC) suffered their first loss to a PSAC-East opponent by scores of 25-12, 25-20, and 25-22. They averaged .089 on attacks for the match, which helped the Bald Eagles catch up in the end. LHU (15-10, 7-7 PSAC) took the first set by 13 points and then came back to win the last two to remain perfect at home (6-0).
Molly Grammer (Center Valley, Pa. / Southern Lehigh) led the team with 11 kills and was the only Golden Rams to end in double-figure kills.
Nicky Yates (Coopersburg, Pa. / Southern Lehigh) contributed with a game-high 21 digs to keep WCU in each set and setup teammates to take the lead.
Jillian Grammer (Center Valley, Pa. / Southern Lehigh) had a team-high 17 assists to go with six digs.
Samantha Agostini (Broomall, Pa. / Cardinal O' Hara) came out with four kills and two blocks, while
Marina Sharkey (Newtown Square, Pa. / Archbishop John Carroll) added three kills and three digs in the loss.
West Chester will look to bounce back tomorrow against Pitt-Johnstown at 1 p.m. to conclude their 21-game road trip before returning to Hollinger Fieldhouse for a pair of matches with Kutztown on Oct. 30th at 7 p.m. and East Stroudsburg on Oct. 31st at 2 p.m. to wrap up their last seven matches of the regular season.
