ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - West Chester University's women's tennis squad dropped a 7-2 decision to host Eckerd College Thursday.
West Chester (3-5) picked up wins at first and second doubles to take a 2-1 lead into singles play. However, Eckerd swept the singles matches to take the match. Claire Uhle and Maddy Shaak teamed up for the win at first doubles while Nicole Fahringer and Alyssa Rees were winners at second doubles.
Uhle dropped her only match of the week at first singles in the loss. It marked the end to a four-match winning streak and leaves Uhle at 13-4 on the season.
