PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Brigham Young University defeated West Chester University, 56-18, in the USA Women's Rugby Division I national semifinals at Founders' Field in Pittsburgh Friday afternoon.
West Chester (12-3) fell in the national semifinals for the second consecutive year, after dropping last year's semifinal to eventual national champion Penn State.
Nicole Benedetti and Olivia Grassi each had a try. Katie Walston hit on a penalty kick, before leaving the game with a knee injury.
The Golden Rams will play Life University in the consolation match Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
