WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The No. 9 West Chester University women's rugby team (2-4) remained home this afternoon to take on No. 10 Mount St. Mary's (3-2). West Chester captured the victory in this contest by a final score of 39-19.
How it Happened:
- Freshman Lauren Madlian (Randolph, N.J./Randolph High School) took the first try of the game from 25 meters out at 5:10 and gained a total of 15 points for the Golden Rams with 2 more successful try before the final whistle.
- Madalian's third try was scored on a breakaway from 45 meters out.
- Freshman Kylie Corless(Wrightstown, Pa./Archbishop Wood High School) added on to one of Madeline's Trys with a conversion scoring 2 points for the Golden Rams
- Mount Saint Marys answered back with two trys of its own and successful conversion to trim the lead to 17-12 in the second half.
- Sophomore Corrine Gallagher (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) recorded her first Try of her college career today at 63:40 scoring 5 points for WCU and bringing the score to 22-12.
- Freshman Autumn Czaplicki(Pillow, Pa./ Line Mountain High School) added a try of her own taking the ball from 35 meters out scoring at 66:09, which increased the lead to 27-12.
- Sophomore Grace Larko(Vandergrift, Pa/Kiski Area) registered a try of her own at 72:00 followed by a successful conversion by Corless bringing the score to 34-12
- Czaplicki scored her second try of the game from 15 meters out 76:50 bringing the score to 39-12.
- Mount Saint Marys answered back at 80:00 with a final try of the game followed by a successful conversion bringing the final score to 39-19.

West Chester will remain home next week to take on Bloomsburg with that game getting underway at 11 a.m.
