WEST POINT, N.Y.-The West Chester university women's rugby team (0-2) was back in action on Saturday evening at Army-West Point (1-1) looking to get back on track after a tough season opening loss to Notre Dame (Oh.). The Golden Rams battled throughout the evening but the Black Knights proved to be too much in the 69-0 defeat.
How it Happened:
- In the first half, Army came out hot jumping out to a 38-0 lead before the halftime break.
- During the second half it was more of the same as Army scored another 31 points to make the final score 69-0 in favor of the Black Knights.
- Once again West Chester had its opportunities throughout the evening, but the Army defense made big plays at the right times to keep the Golden Rams off the scoreboard.
