Golden Rams Beat Huskies 89-10

West Chester University women's rugby defeated Bloomsburg 89-10 on Sunday to start off the season 2-0.

How it happened:

West Chester started off the game with a bang as it scored four tries within the first 20 minutes, giving the Golden Rams a 22-0 lead. Grace Larko (Vandergrift, PA / Kiski Area), Lauren Madalian (Randolph, NJ / Randolph High School), Corinne Gallagher(Coatesville, PA. / Coatesville), and Harley Divine (Alexandria, VA / West Potomac) scored the tries.
Bloomsburg responded in the 23rd minute, scoring to make it 22-5.
The Golden Rams would then go on a 67-point rally spanning 56 minutes of action. The scorers were Madalian, Haley Spangler (Gettysburg, PA / Gettysburg), Katie Moritz (Columbia, NJ / North Warren), Tina Kimmich (Downingtown, PA / Downingtown West High School) (3), Juah Toe (York, PA / Central York), Kelsey Diablo (Stroudsburg, PA / Pleasant Valley) (2), and Ciara DeMelo (Philadelphia, PA / Mount St. Joseph's Academy).
Bloomsburg scored once more, losing the game by a final of 89-10.

Inside the Numbers:

Kylie Corless (Wrightstown, PA / Archbishop Wood High School) led the team with six conversions on the day. Gallagher also contributed with one conversion for the Golden Rams.
Divine and Kimmich now lead the team with three tries each.
Aliprandi and DeMelo both scored their first career tries for the Golden Rams today.
