PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The West Chester University women's swimming and diving teams took on Drexel in the Drexel University Winter Invitational on Friday.
Sophomore
Madison Grenoble (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown Stem Academy) placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.2, only 0.82 seconds off of her personal best.
Sophomore
Shannon McCabe (Carlisle, Pa./Big Spring) saw action off of the diving board on Friday evening, taking fourth place in the 3-meter dive competition. McCabe scored a 232.87 in the event.
Senior
Mikaela Lantz (Reading, Pa./Reading) claimed third place in the 100 butterfly with a finals time of 58.12 seconds.
The 400 freestyle relay team consisted of Lantz, Grenoble,
Lauren Michaels (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) and
Emma O'Neill (Glenside, Pa./Abington). They took third place with a time of 3:37.32.
The postseason begins for the Golden Rams on Wednesday with the first day of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Meet scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in York, Pa., at the Graham Aquatic Center.
