EMMITSBURG, Md. - West Chester University's women's rugby squad lost its final spring contest, 24-10, to Mount St. Mary's on Thursday afternoon.
The Golden Rams opened up the match with a try in the first 15 minutes of play by junior
Bayla Shindledecker (Clarksburg, Pa./Saltsburg) to advance WCU 5-0.
Mount St. Mary's went on to score two tries and a conversion to end the first half in the lead, 12-5.
Within 17 minutes of the second half, the Mount completed a try to extend their lead 17-5. Senior
Corinne Gallagher (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) scored a try for West Chester to the game to 17-10.
Before the end of the match Mount St. Mary's completed another try and conversion to beat the Golden Rams 24-10
