EDINBORO, Pa.-Following a number of strong showings to begin the PSAC Indoor Championships on Saturday, the West Chester men's track and field team returned to action on Sunday for the second and final day of the 2022 PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
As a team, West Chester finished eighth in the team standings with 28 points on the weekend.
Chad Mowbray (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) registered a strong finish in the 400, crossing the line in 50.04 seconds to finish fifth with what is believed to be the ninth fastest time in program history, while
Tyrese Reid (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen), fresh off his impressive performance in the prelims last night, finished fifth in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.07.
Chase Knorr (Birdsboro, Pa./Twin Valley) registered a top-10 finish of his own in the mile, crossing the line in 4 minutes and 25.59 seconds to finish seventh in this event, while also setting a new personal-best time for himself.
Aaron Williams (Kirklyn, Pa./Upper Darby) was fifth in the 200 in a time of 22.31 seconds, while
William Rivers (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) was sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 45 feet 3 ¾ inches.
Michael Nieman (Lansdale, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) competed in the high jump for West Chester, finishing in a tie for ninth in this event with a mark of 6-3 ½, which served as a new personal-best mark for him as well.
David Kramer (Washington Boro, Pa./Penn Manor) competed for West Chester in the 800, finishing 14
th in 2:01.03 while
Philip Smith finished 12
th in the 3k in 8:58.41, which was a new personal-best time for him.
West Chester's 4x400 relay team registered a sixth-place finish in 3:28.43.
