PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The West Chester men's track and field team returned to action on Friday afternoon as a small contingent of Golden Rams made the trek to Historic Franklin Field to compete in the 126
th running of the Penn Relays.
Individually,
Will Rivers (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) competed for West Chester in the triple jump, finishing 13
th overall with a mark of 46 feet 4 ¾ inches.
In relay action, the foursome of
Aaron Williams (Kirklyn, Pa./Upper Darby), Chad Mowbray (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor), Ori Frazier (Roslyn, Pa./Abington), and Jack Wasserman (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) competed in the 4x400 Eastern relay. The group turned in a strong effort, finishing in a time of 3 minutes and 22.94 seconds, which was good enough for eighth-place overall (fifth in the first heat), narrowly missing out on qualifying for the event final on Saturday night.
West Chester returns to action tomorrow at the Paul Kaiser Invitational hosted by Shippensburg.
