LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its men's basketball weekly awards on Monday afternoon and
Eli Barrett (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg) earned PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors after another strong week.
Barrett registered two more double-doubles this week, giving him his fourth in five games while also setting a new career-high for scoring with 27 points in a victory over Clarion, helping West Chester go 1-1 on the week. Against Shippensburg on Wednesday night, Barrett did all he could to keep West Chester in the game, finishing with 16 and 11 as the Golden Rams leading scorer in the setback. On Saturday at Clarion, Barrett made sure West Chester would not drop its second game in a row scoring a career-high 27 to go along with 10 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the year. Barrett's 27 points is also the most by a Golden Ram in a game this season, surpassing a 25-point effort by
Kyle McGee vs Virginia State earlier in the season.
West Chester returns to action on Wednesday night at Lock Haven beginning at 7:30 p.m.
