ERIE, Pa.- The West Chester University men's golf team returned to the course on Friday afternoon for the opening round of the Laker Fall Invitational at Lake View Country Club outside of Erie. West Chester found itself ninth on the team leaderboard after the opening round on Friday, finishing with a 310, led by a two-over 74 from
Connor Strine (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township), as he resided in 14
th individually after the opening round.
Strine took the turn at one-over, thanks in part to a birdie on the par-four second, and picked up two more birdies on the back nine, registering birdies on the par-four 15th and par-five 17th to finish his afternoon with a 74.
