Good Named PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its men's soccer Athletes of the Week on Tuesday afternoon and Daniel Good (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) earned Defensive Athlete of the Week honors after helping lead West Chester to a 2-0 start to the year last week.

Good helped lead the West Chester University men's soccer team to a perfect 2-0 start to the year, while also continuing his climb through the record books in the first week of the 2023 season. Good started his week with a shutout against Jefferson, which marked his 18th career shutout, moving him into first in program history in career clean sheets. On Saturday against Holy Family, Good made a pair of saves to help lead West Chester to a 2-1 victory over the visiting Tigers. This marked Good's 33rd career victory, which moved into a tie for third in program history with Joe Bocklet (1995-98). Good's 33 career victories are the most by a West Chester keeper since Andrew Shafer won 40 games in his career, which stretched from 2001-04.

West Chester returns to action tomorrow night against Wilmington beginning at 4:45 on Rockwell Field.
