LEBANON, PA – West Chester University's men's golf squad placed seventh overall out of nine schools at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships at Iron Valley Golf Club Sunday.
West Chester finished with a 935 overall (
308-315-312) score finishing higher than Bloomsburg and Clarion.
Connor Strine (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Twp.) posted an 81 on day three and finished as the top Golden Ram for the tournament with a three-day total of 234 (73-80-81) that was good for 27th.
Gannon won the team title.
Adam MacMillan (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton) shot a 76 for the low round of the day on Sunday for West Chester.
Ethan Martin (North Wales, Pa./La Salle College) signed for a 77 while
Ryan D'Ariano (West Chester, Pa./Rustin) carded a 78 and
Evan Jozwiak (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) shot an 83.
MacMillan, the PSAC's Champion Scholar, and
Ethan Martin (North Wales, Pa./La Salle College), each placed 30th individually, with a three-day identical total of 236. Jozwiak finished with a 239 (77-79-83), and D'Ariano finished with a 243 (87-78-78).
Gannon's Mattia Parrini was the PSAC Individual Champion with an eight-under par score.
West Chester will return to action later this month at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate on October 28-29 to conclude its fall slate.
