KUTZTOWN, Pa.- Looking to run its winning streak to three in a row, the West Chester University women's rugby squad (3-2) returned to action on Saturday morning in Kutztown for a non-league match against the Golden Bears. West Chester had a historic day on Saturday as 14 different Golden Rams scored a program-record 19 trys in a dominant 111-0 victory over Kutztown.
Christelle Adikpeto (Abomey Calavi, Benin/Moon Area) scored the first try of the match just two minutes in and scored three in the first 15 minutes to lead West Chester offensively.
West Chester also saw five Golden Rams score their first career trys in the victory as
Clare Hurley (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) and Amelia DiCiccio (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford)
scored two trys each, while
Addison LaCarrubba (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury), Keeley Fugazzi (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin-Coffman), and Candyce Fougere each scored once in the victory.
