GOLDEN RAMS TRAVEL TO KUTZTOWN FOR SEASON FINALE
• West Chester (4-5, 4-2) heads to Kutztown to take on No. 3 Kutztown Golden Bears on Saturday afternoon at Andre Reed Stadium. It is the season finale for the Golden Rams, who were scheduled to play Mercyhurst in Week 11, but the Lakers' move to Division I left a vacancy at the end of West Chester's schedule. Â
• Already assured of a winning record in conference play, regardless of Saturday's outcome, West Chester will be playing to finish the year at .500 – a feat many would have considered unattainable after an 0-4 start to the campaign. Kutztown has already clinched the Eastern Division title and its spot in the "State Game" next week against Western Division winner California (Pa.).
• West Chester has won four of its last five contests and could wind up finishing in third place in the Eastern Division standings – again – regardless of the outcome. The Golden Rams have made quite a turnaround from the month of September and has been playing its best football lately. Still, they will need probably their best effort of the year to come away with a victory over the third-ranked Golden Bears.
• With the wins have come the recognition of players having outstanding games. West Chester has taken home one of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) weekly awards in three of the last four weeks.
Cooper Jordan has been named the offensive player of the week twice while
Sean Henry was named special teams player of the week once. Â
• Kutztown's defense ranks second in the country at Division II, allowing just 210 yards and 7.78 points per game to its opponents. West Chester's offense, and
Cooper Jordan, will need to find a way to move the ball against the Golden Bears stingy defense.
Â
GOLDEN RAMS vs. KUTZTOWN ALL-TIME
• West Chester is 54-13-1 all-time against Kutztown in a series that dates back to 1937. Kutztown has taken three of the last four contests between the two close rivals. However, the Golden Rams' one victory did come in November 2022 at Kutztown in a 28-9 verdict that was quite an upset at the time.
Cooper Jordan led West Chester to the surprise win as a freshman under center. He returns to Andre Reed Stadium Saturday as a junior looking to shock the conference once again.
• West Chester is 24-6 on the road against Kutztown all-time. In fact, the Golden Rams have won the last two times they have played at Kutztown (2018 and 2022).
Â
LAST TIME vs. KUTZTOWN (Nov. 4, 2023 – MILLERSVILLE, PA.)
• Visiting Kutztown scored a pair of touchdowns in the final eight minutes of the contest to come from behind and beat homestanding West Chester, 27-17, in the final conference contest of the season for the two schools at John A. Farrell Stadium Saturday.
• West Chester had taken its only lead of the game at 17-13 on a 7-yard touchdown pass from Jordan to
Rahiem Bowens in the back of the end zone. However, Kutztown came right back on a 69-yard TD pass from Judd Novak to Mekhi Gibson on the next series. The Golden Rams rushed Novak with an all-out blitz on the play, but the Bears QB found Gibson down the middle of the field, and the speedy wide receiver raced about half the field for the score.
• Trailing 13-3 at halftime, West Chester rallied when Jordan busted free on a scramble and raced 53 yards for a score in the third quarter that pulled the hosts within three. That set up Bowens' score in the fourth quarter, before the Bears mounted their comeback.
Â
FAMILIAR FOES MEET ON THE GRIDIRON
• The West Chester vs. Kutztown matchup Saturday pits two very familiar head coaches and two very good friends against one another for the first time. West Chester first-year head coach
Duke Greco will match wits with his former mentor Jim Clements for the first time in their careers. Greco served as Clements' offensive coordinator when the latter was the head coach at Delaware Valley. When Clements left for Kutztown in 2013, Greco was promoted to head coach and picked up where Clements left off. Along with Greco, WCU defensive coordinator,
Nick Brady, was also on Clements' coaching staff with Greco. These two coaching staffs know exactly what is in store for them.

SEAN HENRY NAMED PSAC EAST SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
• West Chester University senior place-kicker,
Sean Henry, was named the Specialist of the Week in the PSAC East last week. It is the first such honor for the senior kicker this season and marks the third time in the last four weeks that a West Chester player has copped one of the three weekly awards.
• Henry had an excellent game on Saturday afternoon in what was likely his final home game at Tomlinson-Fillippo Field at Farrell Stadium, going 3-for-3 on extra points while also hitting a pair of 30+-yard (34, 31) field goals to account for nine of the Golden Rams 27 points. The senior also handled kickoff duties as usual, registering a pair of touchbacks to help neutralize the Lock Haven kick return unit. Â
• Henry bounced back from a disappointing outing against Millersville a week earlier and is currently second on the team in scoring with 48 points this year. He has hit on 33 of 34 extra point attempts while going 5-for-8 on field goals with a season long of 50 yards against Seton Hill.

WEST CHESTER - LAST TIMEÂ OUT
•
Shane Mosley intercepted a Jackson Ostrowski pass and raced 68 yards for the score late in the fourth quarter to halt a Lock Haven comeback bid and lift West Chester to a 27-16 Senior Day victory over the Bald Eagles last Saturday.
• Searching for its first win over West Chester in 12 years and first win in John A. Farrell Stadium since October 1991, Lock Haven battled throughout the day on Saturday, held a lead going into the second quarter, and appeared to be putting together a potentially game-winning drive with under two minutes to play until Mosley stepped in and turned an Ostrowski pass into six crucial points for the Golden Rams late in the fourth quarter to lift the hosts to their fourth win in the last five games. Mosley's pick-six was the Golden Rams' first interception returned for a touchdown since Stanley Bryant took an interception 29 yards for a score in a win against Lock Haven in October 2022.
• Jordan was 12-of-21 through the air for 161 yards and rushed for another 104 on 18 carries, including a 23-yard scamper late in the first half, which helped West Chester carry a 17-10 lead into the halftime break. In contrast to last week, when Jordan accounted for five of the six Golden Ram scores, the junior did not score a touchdown on Saturday afternoon as
Juke Peaker was the lone Golden Ram to find the end zone, doing so twice in the second quarter of the 11-point victory.
