READING, Pa.- The West Chester University women's track and field team was back in action on Saturday afternoon for the first time in 2025 at the Alvernia University Winter Invitational.
Lily Palacio Lewis (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) took second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.80 seconds.
Morgan Pera (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) took fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.65 seconds after qualifying into the finals with a time of 9.77 seconds.
In relay action, West Chester finished second in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:46.45.
Genevieve McDonald (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) took eighth in the 200 with a time of 27.28 seconds.
Annika Hummel (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) took second in the pole vault with a mark of 11 feet 11 ¾ inches (3.65m), while
Kaylie Groff (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) finished sixth with a mark of 10-11 ¾ (3.35m). Hummel and Groff both hit PSAC Qualifying marks on Saturday afternoon.
Nikolien Bezuidenhout (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) finished fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 34-3 ½ (10.45m).
Emma Deyarmin (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) took 10
th in the shot put with a mark of 35-3 (10.74m), while also finishing 11
th in the weight throw with a mark of 41-2 ½ (12.56m).
