th-ranked West Chester University women's soccer team (7-1-3) is preparing to put its seven-game unbeaten streak on the line once again as the Golden Rams welcome Shippensburg (2-5-3, 1-5-3) to Rockwell Field on Saturday for a 12 p.m. start.

West Chester stepped out of league play on Saturday to take on Mansfield in what the league had designated as a non-league contest early in the season at the request of the Mountaineers due to low roster numbers. West Chester jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 11 minutes and never looked back en route to an 8-0 victory over the Mounties.
Victoria Pungello (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial), Lauren Reimold (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East), Kate Alexander (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip), Adriana Ryder (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert), Sydney Waits (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern), and Hailey Primwhere (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) all scored goals in the victory.

Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove) improved to 7-1-3 on Saturday as she had a hand in the Golden Rams' eighth shutout of the season. Keen has a 0.40 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage with 41 stops in 897 minutes of action.

West Chester has not lost since a 2-1 setback at Millersville on September 17, which was part of a disheartening stretch that saw the Golden Rams go 0-1-2 to open league play. West Chester now enters play on Saturday at 7-1-3 overall and 4-1-3 in league action with a record of 5-0-2 in its last seven games. West Chester has allowed just two goals during this stretch and has outscored foes 17-2, including an 8-0 victory at Mansfield on Saturday afternoon.

st 1-0 upset victory over Kutztown. On Wednesday night, Shippensburg held the high-powered Shepherd offense scoreless through 75 minutes but was outpossessed throughout the night, and this was the eventual breaking point as the Rams scored four goals late to post a 4-0 victory over the Raiders. Shippensburg is 0-2-2 away from home this year, including 1-1 draws at Lock Haven and Shepherd, and a pair of 1-0 losses to East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg.
Ashley Hughes leads Shippensburg in scoring with four goals for eight points, while Jordan Lytwyn and Lannah Werynski are tied for second with two goals each for four points on the year. Kirstin Brown made nine saves in the loss on Wednesday night, her second-highest total of the season, trailing only her 10 stops at Shepherd in early September. Brown is 2-5-3 on the year with a 1.23 goals-against average and a .810 save percentage with 51 stops in 880 minutes of action. Brown also has two shutouts on the season, including the shutout of the Golden Rams earlier this season.
