WEST CHESTER, Pa.- Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) received the news he had been waiting for on Monday evening as the junior learned his 2025 season would continue to the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin on November 22.
Miller narrowly missed out on an automatic qualifying spot in the field on Saturday at Lock Haven, crossing the line in 30 minutes and 39.50 seconds, finishing in sixth place just one spot out of an automatic ticket to Wisconsin.
This effort, coupled with an outstanding season to this point, was enough for the Division II Cross Country committee to award Miller with an at-large spot in the Championship Field.
Miller is the first Golden Rams men's cross country runner to advance to the National Championships since Josh Coakley went in back-to-back years (2018 and 2019). Coakley wrapped up his collegiate cross country career in Sacramento, California, in 2019 with a 53
rd-place finish in 31 minutes and 2.2 seconds.
The 2025 Championships will be held at the Wayne E. Dannehl Championship Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and will be hosted by Wisconsin-Parkside. The men's race is set to begin at 12:15 p.m. Eastern and will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
