Five Golden Rams Earn United Soccer First Team All-Region Honors

Full Release
KANSAS CITY, Mo.-
The United Soccer Coaches Association released its Division II women's soccer All-Region teams on Tuesday morning and West Chester had five players honored as Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove), Katie Dougherty (Glenmoore, Pa./Downingtown West), Lauren Reimold (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East), Kianna Barber (Browns Mills, N.J/BCIT), and Faith Matter (Middletown, Pa./Middletown) all earned First Team All-Region honors.

The Golden Rams' five All-Region honorees are the most since West Chester placed five on the 2023 squad after also landing five on the 2022 team.  Keen, Barber, Matter, and Dougherty also earned Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-Region honors in late November, with Keen going as the lone First Team selection in that group.

Keen, a First Team All-PSAC East, D2CCA All-Region, and CSC Academic All-District honoree, enjoyed a tremendous 2025 season, which saw her finish the year with a record of 16-3-4 and a 0.70 goals-against average with 11 shutouts, which is tied for the fourth most in single-season history. Keen enjoyed a five-game shutout streak in mid-October and also posted back-to-back clean sheets in the NCAA Tournament in wins over Fairmont State and Shepherd. The junior also finished the season tied for third in team history in wins (42), fourth in shutouts (29), fourth in career saves (241), and fifth in career goals-against average (0.76). Her 16 wins are also tied with her for the sixth most in single-season program history.

Dougherty's efforts on the backline were a big part of the Golden Rams' success in 2025, as the rookie helped anchor the Golden Rams defense as a center back. A First Team All-PSAC East selection and D2CCA All-Region honoree, Dougherty also earned PSAC East Rookie of the Year honors. The rookie scored two goals, including a goal in the National Quarterfinal loss to Franklin Pierce, and assisted on two others while also helping hold opponents to just 0.41 goals per game and less than four shots on goal per game throughout the regular season.

Reimold was another First Team All-PSAC East and CSC Academic All-District honoree from earlier this fall. The junior midfielder appeared in 20 games and started all 20, scoring three goals and adding three assists for nine points on the year.

Matter ends her career with yet another All-Region certificate as the two-time United Soccer All-American repeats as a First Team All-Region selection after an excellent 2025 season. Matter appeared and started in all 23 games and scored eight goals with assists on a team-best 10 others for 26 points on the year. The senior forward scored the tying goal in the National Quarterfinal against Franklin Pierce for her 37th career goal, which moved her into fourth on the career goal scoring list. She finished her career first in assists with 41, while her 115 points are fourth most in team history. The senior also scored at least a point in three of four NCAA Tournament games for West Chester in 2025.

The final honoree was Barber, who had a season for the ages in 2025 and adds yet another honor to her growing list. Barber earned PSAC East Player of the Year honors along with First Team All-League, D2CCA All-Region, and CSC Academic All-District honors. The sophomore forward led the Golden Rams in scoring with 13 goals and five assists for 31 points, which is tied for 11th most in a single season in team history, while her 13 goals are tied for ninth in single-season history. Barber, who helped West Chester extend its Conference Player of the Year streak to four years in a row, scored five game-winning goals for West Chester in 2025, including the winner in the Atlantic Region Championship game at Shepherd on November 30. The sophomore also scored a hat trick in the NCAA Tournament opener against West Virginia State, becoming the first Golden Ram to record an NCAA Tournament hat trick and the first in Division II women's soccer to do so since 2023.

With their First Team honors, all five Golden Rams advance to the United Soccer All-America ballot. Those teams will be announced later this month.
