ARCHDALE, N.C.- The West Chester University men's golf team wrapped up its first tournament of the spring 2025 slate on Tuesday afternoon as the Golden Rams finished sixth (910; 308, 295, 307) at the CIAA Southern Division Tournament at Holly Ridge Golf Links in Archdale, North Carolina. West Chester opened its spring with a 308 on Monday morning before firing a 295 on the second round of the day to sit in seventh with a 603 (308, 295, 307) team score after 36 holes. West Chester finished its last hole of the second round early on Tuesday morning before playing the third and final round, firing a 307, which was fifth-best in the field on Tuesday to finish sixth on the team leaderboard.
Ryan D'Ariano (West Chester, Pa./Rustin) (22
nd: +10 (76, 76, 74; 226) finished his second round with a par on Tuesday morning and rode this momentum to a team-best 74 in the final round after carding birdies on the bar-four 13
th and par-five 18
th on Tuesday. This two-over 74 was tied for eighth-best in the field on Tuesday as D'Ariano moved from 32
nd on Monday night up to 22nd on Tuesday.
Evan Jozwiak (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson), Adam MacMillan (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton), and Connor Strine (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) all joined D'Ariano in the top-30 as the trio finished in a tie for 26
th at 12-over for the Tournament after signing for an 80, 78, and 75 in their final rounds. Strine made the most significant move for West Chester on Tuesday as he shot a three-over 75, which included a birdie on the par-five seventh, par-four 10
th, and par-four 15
th, to jump from 38
th after 36 holes to a tie for 26
th at the end of play on Tuesday.
Roan Sidhu impressed for Virginia State throughout the week, finishing his week at -1 after shooting a two-under 70 to start the week, an even-par 72 in the second round, and a one-over 73 in the third and final round. Fayetteville State won the team title with a 54-hole score of 883 (294, 287, 302).
