Women's Rugby Competes at Emperor 7's Tournament on Sunday

PRINCETON, N.J.- The West Chester University women's rugby team was back in action on Sunday at the Emperor 7's Tournament in the Garden State as the Golden Rams concluded their regular season at Princeton University.

West Chester started the day off with a 24-7 setback to Tournament Champion Dartmouth as the Green Wave used a high-pressure defense to force Golden Ram turnovers on a wet field and took full advantage of these WCU miscues.

West Chester followed this up with a 19-5 setback vs Princeton and a hard-fought 5-0 setback to Quinnipiac in the semifinals.

Brooke Crago and Lily Rhode led the team in scoring as Crago scored two trys for 10 points while Rhode scored one of her own for five points.

West Chester's gold squad went 1-3 on the day, with a win over Mount St. Mary's as the highlight of the day. Sara McNicholas and Christelle Adikpeto scored two trys each, while Amelia DiCicco added a try of her own.
