Full Release
WEST CHESTER, Pa.-
The Collegiate Sports Communicators released their Men's Track and Field Academic All-District squad on Tuesday afternoon and Derrick Lukomski-Pizzo (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) added another honor to his growing trophy case by earning Academic All-District honors.

To be eligible for Academic All-District ® consideration, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students.

Academically, an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a graduate student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.

For track & field, eligibility for Academic All-District ® consideration is a bit more specific than other sports. A student-athlete must rank among the Top 50 individuals in a single event indoors or outdoors per the Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS) or have finished among the Top 50 at the 2024 NCAA regional or national cross country championships. Relay performances cannot be a sole determinant of eligibility.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 15, 2025 (women) and July 16, 2025 (men).

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.

Lukomski Pizzo enjoyed an excellent 2024-25 season, including a PSAC Championship in the discus with a program-record setting mark of 185 feet 10 inches, which sent him to the NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Colorado State-Pueblo. Lukomski Pizzo ranked fourth in the Nation in this event heading into the Championships and finished 17th at the Championships with a mark of 161 feet 3 inches.
