NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America announced its 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars on Tuesday afternoon. West Chester had two student-athletes honored as
Connor Strine (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) and Ryan D'Ariano (West Chester, Pa./Rustin) were both honored by the GCAA for their efforts in the classroom and on the course.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
Strine and D'Ariano are two of 207 student-athletes from 78 Division II programs to earn Cobalt All-America Scholar honors.
D'Ariano played in 20 rounds over the course of nine Tournaments and posted a 78.2 adjusted scoring average in those rounds. His best finish was a 10
th-place finish at seven-over (151) at the WCU Battlefield Classic to open the season. D'Ariano also finished 35
th at the PSAC Championships with a 54-hole score of 243 (+27).
For his part, Strine played in 23 rounds over the course of 10 Tournaments and posted a 75.9 adjusted scoring average in those rounds. He ended the year ranked 39
th in the final regional rankings and, in doing so, earned an Invitation as an Individual to the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championships. He finished in the top-10 twice, including a second-place finish at the WCU Battlefield Classic at even par after shooting a two-under 70 in the second round at the season opener. Strine also finished 24
th at the PSAC Championships with a 54-hole score of 234 (+18).
